Description
Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s largest cruise ship to date, is equipped with 16 decks, seven designed “neighborhood” areas, and luxurious accommodations and amenities to suit 5,400 guests. Among the most popular venues aboard the ship is Dazzles Nightclub, one of Oasis’ two club venues. For Dazzles, Michael Riotto Design (MRD) sought a cost-effective method to light the large dance floor from beneath its four-inch thick tempered glass panels. MRD worked closely with Traxon to determine the best fixture for this installation, deciding on 72 1PXL Module RGB, and working together to ensure proper spacing between the Modules and the glass. With its colorful lighting scenarios, the brightly lit dance floor is the focal point of Dazzles. Its Modules can be adjusted to change the atmosphere and mood in the lounge, or to coordinate with stage lighting for live musical performances. The directional nature of LEDs keeps the lighting concentrated to the areas intended, and creates cozy, intimate corners, while simultaneously delivering an open experience full of energy for those wanting to mingle on the main floor.Project Details
